Ted Wenz wins at Savannah!
start, Ted quickly jumped out to a sizable lead over second place Jacek Mucha. In the closing laps of the race, the gap had all but vanished leading to a last lap shootout and on the day, it was Ted Wenz with the bigger gun! It was a great first outing in the Indycar since an engine rebuild and a busy shop schedule that kept the car off the track for the past two years. In the feature race
on Sunday, Ted led from the pole but this time Jacek would not allow Ted to get the drop on him as he had the previous day. In the end, the checkerd flag went to Jacek over Ted who finished a very close second place. However, of far greater significance was the fact that Ted bettered his quickest laptime by over 1 1/2 seconds from the previous day. Carefully thought out chassis adjustments yielded the desired gain in grip. The goal of the weekend was not only met, but surpassed as the March 87C is now ready to take on its next challenge sometime next season. October 25, 2015 - It didn't take long for Savannah Race Engineering owner and founder Ted Wenz to find the pace in the March 87C Indycar at this weekends Savannah Speed Classic. After missing the Thursday practice session due to a spark box failure, the SRE team got the car back on the track Friday afternoon and Ted promptly put it 3rd on the grid for Saturday's Qualifying race. At the
